MODE files are loaded into the DTVLink-A or NX-GEN radios by FTP transfer.
This tutorial utilizes the FileZilla FTP application for performing FTP transfers. Other applications may be substituted, but their compatibility has not been verified. FTP transfers from Windows Explorer are not compatible with this tutorial.
- Open the FileZilla application. Navigate to “Edit -> Settings.” Change “Timeout” to “0”.
- Enter the target radio’s IP address. Username = integrator, Password = p1nacate, Port =21. Click “Quickconnect”
- "Local Site": Navigate to the location of the new “img” file on a local computer. Double-click on the new “modes.img” file to begin transfer.
- NOTE: The file name of “modes.img” is required by the SDIDU; do not change the file name. Image files can only be transferred into radio, they cannot be pulled out.
- When the pop-up window appears, select “Overwrite” and click “OK.”
- Once the transfer is completed it will be listed within the “Successful transfers” tab of FileZilla. Simultaneous FTP transfers to a single radio are not supported; wait for the active transfer to complete before starting another file transfer.
- Open the radio’s Web GUI to verify that the FTP transfer was successful. Navigate to “Administration -> Maintenance -> Reprogramming.” Verify that the new “modes.img” file is displayed. By default, new images files are loaded into the “Passive Bank,” indicated by the white circle seen to the left of the image name.
