Overview
When a radio is configured at the factory it is assigned an IP Address. This address is printed on a yellow sticker that is applied to the SDIDU (usually on the blank plate above or below the ASI Video Card).
If the sticker is missing or the IP address has been changed, and the current IP Address is unknown, the Serial/Alarm Port can be used to identify the unknown IP Address. The SDIDU has a Command Line Interface (CLI) that can be accessed using Telnet or SSH from the Serial/Alarm 15-pin port.

Items Needed:
- Computer
- Straight Serial Cable
- 9-pin to 15-pin adapter, (included in radio accessory kit) (see attached drawing for pinout)
- Telnet software such as Tera Term or Hyper Terminal
Procedure:
Communicating with the CLI interface:
- Connect computer to the SDIDU's 15-pin Serial/Alarm Interface Port.
- Open the Tera Term terminal emulator and set the Communications Port settings to:
- Baud = 38400
- Parity = None
- DataBit = 8
- StopBit = 1
- Pressing the "Enter" key should cause a login prompt to display. Enter the same username and password as used by the WEB GUI (default user: administrator, password: d1scovery).
- A “CLI” (Command Line Interface) menu should now be displayed. Navigate thru the menu to the “General Network Configuration” screen:
- "M" for Main Menu
- "B" for Administration
- "A" Network Configuration
- "A" for General
- The current network settings should now be displayed. If necessary, follow the on-screen instructions to update the IP Address to your desired configuration.
