Yes, the Rincon can be updated in the field. The configuration and settings are NOT affected by updating the software. The software update DOES require a reboot.
To update the Rincon software, first contact Moseley Technical Support to get the latest version of software. They will email you a ZIP folder containing the current Rincon image file.
- Navigate a web browser to the Rincon units’ IP address.
- Navigate the Rincon WEB GUI to “Administration > Maintenance > Reprogramming.”
- If prompted for a username and password, the default login (without quotes) is username "admin," and password "welcome."
- Click on the “Choose File” button and locate the “Upgrade” image file that was provided by Moseley tech support. It will be named using a format such as “rincon_33u_3g_0a_10331”
- Once the “Upgrade” image file has been selected, click on the button labeled “Update.”
- The upgrade process will take a few minutes to complete. Once completed, you will see a message indicating whether the upgrade was a success or a failure.
- After the unit has been successfully upgraded, it will require a reboot.
- You can either power cycle the unit or press the “Reboot” button.
