Which Rincon Clock Settings Should I Use?

There are two places within the Rincon WEB GUI to configure clock settings. The “E1/T1 Configuration” page should always use the Internal setting. The "Clock Source Select" found on the “Global Configuration” page should be adjusted to match the type of configuration that the Rincon is running. The "Clock Source Select" can be updated by navigating to “Configuration -> Global Configuration -> Clock Source Select.”

These are the recommended "Clock Source Select" settings:

If the Rincon is encoding the audio for IP Ethernet transport.

• Studio Rincon: Internal
• Remote site Rincon: Slave

If the Rincon is encoding the audio for T1 circuit transport.

• Studio Rincon: Internal
• Remote site Rincon: T1/E1_1_Recovered
